Lovely weather at the Braunston Historic Boat Rally today! This year the rally was opened by none other than Sir David Suchet!

Ken presented with gifts on behalf of the band.

This afternoon, the band said thank you to Ken Ewer as he is retiring as the Musical Director of Daventry Brass. He was presented with gifts in appreciation of his years conducting the band.

Thank you also to friends from Moulton 77 Brass Band for your help today!

We're out at the Rally again tomorrow morning for the Songs of Praise service at 9.30.

The band rehearses once a week, on a Tuesday in our own purpose built band hall (completed in 2011).

We are active throughout the year, attending and supporting local contests, as well as the annual Regional Contests, and serves the community throughout the year by providing music for Remembrance Day, and playing carols in local Residential and Nursing Homes, Danetre Hospital and at the open air church services around Christmas time.
