Whilst we are extremely grateful to our cornet-playing friends who have helped up out on the front row over the last year and in particular for the upcoming Area contest we are keen to recruit permanent players.

Also we will be losing our long-serving principal trombone player in a couple of months time (overseas posting for 3 years).

If you are interested in any of the above vacancies, please contact Chairman Ken Ewer via email directly (This email address is being protected from spambots. Concert Cancelled by British Legion

Unfortunately, the British Legion have made a last minute decision to cancel the Christmas Concert tomorrow (Saturday, 10th December) due to poor advance ticket sales. We (Daventry Brass) are very sorry to our loyal followers, especially those who do not see this note and would normally arrive to pay on the door - but unfortunately we have no control over this. Had more notice been given, we would have 'taken ownership' of the concert and promoted it ourselves

Concert - 23rd April 2016

Our next performance is a 'St Georges Day' Concert at the Holy Cross Church

Daventry Brass are pleased to welcome Justine Hadden as our new 1st Horn player.

We are currently looking for cornet players (of any 'flavour') to fill a couple of vacancies and complete an otherwise full band

Christmas Concert

Last December Daventry Brass presented a Christmas Concert at the Abbey School. This involved
the children and the audience was limited to children and parents. This year, we have been invited again
and the concert is  on Tuesday 1st December (7:30-9pm) to be held at the Holy Cross Church where the
increase in space will allow a wider audience.

Tickets (£2) are available from Dennetts Garden Centre (01327 702288)

For information - Our regular Christmas Concert. organised by the British Legion, had to be cancelled this year due to

illness of the key organiser. Unfortunately, notification of this did not give us the time to find a venue and promote our

own concert - hopefully things will be 'back to normal' for next year.
